Creating a Junior Senior Show Page in Mahara.
***** Two fold Submission Process ******
Step 1. Create Mahara page specifically for JR./Sr. Show.
Each student may only include four images (work completed during the 2015-16 current school year) in their page design along with all image information/statements.
a. Every piece needs:
i. Full Name
ii. Title (No untitled pieces)
iii. Medium (Silver Gelatin print, Cyanotype, digital Image
b. Work that has been previously exhibited at the Central Office will not be considered.
c. Please note that images of artwork submitted through the application are REQUIRED to be the same artwork that is delivered for the exhibition.
d. An artist’s statement is a brief narrative by the artist that describes their body of work and its meaning. Your artist statement should summarize your work produced so far this year and keep to a maximum of 300 words. Write in general terms about the entire body of your work, not just a single specific piece. (see Below)
HINT- After writing and editing your statement in MS Word have your art teacher review the statement. Then copy and paste your artist statement into your Mahara page and the google doc so that you ensure it is spellchecked and word counted first.
Step 2: After completing the Mahara page, students must make their page public and submit the copied URL along with artist statements / image information through the Google doc Jr./Sr. exhibition submission page.
